Weekend Herb Blogging #396 - Recap

It's summer holidays in the northern hemisphere so thank you for joining in with Weekend Herb Blogging this week. This is my first time hosting the Italian version so please forgive my dodgy Italian - you'll find the English recap first followed by the Italian.

Nasturtiums
by Simona from Briciole

If you're unsure of what to do with Nasturtiums then this is the post for you. Informative, beautifully written and photographed you will learn to use nasturtium petals in pasta, make infused vinegar and "lucky woman's capers". You will have to read the post to find out more.

Preserved Spicy Vegetables
By Brii from Briggishome

Brii is without a kitchen but she still has can enjoy her preserved Spicy Vegetables from 2007. The vegetables and dried chillies are first salted, then soaked in vinegar before they are lightly blanched. Finally they are then stored in sterilised jars filled with extra virgin olive oil and fresh herbs.

Pumpkin Bread with Nuts and Blueberries
by Cinzia from Cindystar

As soon as Cinzia saw the ingredients she knew she had to make this bread. Rich with pumpkin and studded with blueberries, they are pretty as a picture. Cinzia also supplies an alternative vegan recipe.

Redcurrant and Coconut Whole Wheat Vegan Muffins

To make these vegan muffins, Terry uses flax seed flour, soy milk and agave syrup. The acidity of the redcurrant balances well with the sweet agave syrup and coconut.

The secret to this delicious Focaccia is all in the flour and mashed potato that goes into the dough.

Salmon fillets with Redcurrant and Lemon Thyme Sauce

Redcurrants are versatile as this savoury recipe shows - they balance the fatty richness of these oven baked salmon fillets.

Brussels Sprouts, Bacon and Sriracha
by Me

Enjoy as a side or as a quick meal - brussels sprouts sautéed with bacon and sriracha - a spicy chilli sauce.

E' un grande piacere di presentare il raccolto in Italiano - grazie mille a tutti che hanno participato questa settimana.
