During this festive season, whatever you may be doing or celebrating, I wish you, from my family to yours, a Merry and Safe Christmas.

Thank you also for all the support you've shown this past year - whether in comments, email or otherwise, it's been a true pleasure to share this cooking experience and I look forward to your company in the future.

Best wishes to all!

  5. I just stumbled on your blog for the first time today, and I am really impressed. I love your cooking philosophy (cook (almost) anything at least once), and your photos are gorgeous. I am a novice at taking food photos and was just wondering how you do the gorgeous red and yellow etc. backgrounds- red table? paper? How do you make them look so pretty? I'm starting a food blog myself this month and am thinking about how to make my food photos as attractive as possible. Any hints for a newbie? :)
Thank you for your site- I'm bookmarking it and will be back!

Happy Holidays- beautiful cookie photo today!

  8. I ADORE your 3 tier cake stand (I pretty much collect cake stands). And that's such a gorgeous picture, I wish I had been organised enough to bake lots of christmas-y things.

I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

Hi Brenda - best wishes for your new food blog. My best advice on photography is to just keep it simple, use natural light, use a tripod, use a timer. Backgrounds are kept plain to limit distractions - you can use tablescloths, tables, or coloured cards, all depends on the situation. If you'd like more specific advice just send me an email at hellohaaloATgmailDOTcom and I'll do my best to help.

Hi Brilynn - you must have a mincemeat detector, the top two layers will have to suffice ;)

Thank you Patricia - hope you had a lovely Christmas!

Thanks Caty - you really can never have enough cake stands, just love that lace one you have! Merry Christmas!

Thanks Angie - i will try my best. Have a great christmas and new years!

Merry Christmas Chas - hope you have tons of fun!

    Merry Christmas Swee!
