Copyright and Wrong

Last night I stumbled upon a site called Top Recipes News (http://toprecipesnews.blogspot.com) which has been republishing my feed since October and if you visit the site you'll see that they are also republishing the feeds from Coconut and Lime, Wild Yeast, Pioneer Woman and Simply Recipes, just to name a few.

I've already filed a DMCA relating to the 76 posts that they have taken from me.

If you find your blog on that site I have some tips to help immediately put an end to their scraping.

Check out your email subscription database and delete the following email address
chicofalafacil@gmail.com

This is the address they have used to subscribe to the feed. In fact, it would be a good idea for everyone to check their lists to make sure that email address isn't on it.

Secondly, I suggest you not write to that address as the site seems to republish everything they receive via that email address. It can be funny in a sad sort of a way especially when they republish DMCA takedown notices.

Lastly, if your content has been taken I'll also urge you to file a DMCA with blogger using their online form - maybe if enough of us complain they will delete the site and the account.

Fig Filled Friands

Since 2008, the always lovely Chris from Mele Cotte has been doing her part to celebrate the season of love with her Cucina D'Amore (Kitchen of Love) event. The idea is that we cook with at least one ingredient that can be classed as an aphrodisiac. I've managed to fit a few* in these cute little heart shaped (what other shape could they be?) friands!

Nutella and Banana Crumble Slice

World Nutella Day is celebrating its 5th birthday and congrats must go to Sara from Ms Adventures in Italy and Michelle from Bleeding Espresso for managing such a wonderful event.

One ingredient that seems to love Nutella is banana and the dish I've made takes advantage of this. I've used nutella and banana as the filling to a rich, buttery slice. I've also amplified the hazelnut aspect of nutella by adding ground hazelnuts to the base.
